Did you know the Bible teaches that you can KNOW you’re going the Heaven when you die? It’s true, God loves you. He is concerned about your life and your eternal well-being. God loves us but He hates our sin because it separates us from Him. Heaven is a perfect place, in order to get there you must be perfect.
1. We are all sinners. The Bible says,
All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags ... (Isaiah 64:6)
2. The penalty of sin is death. The Bible says,
The wages (payment) of sin is death... (Romans 6:23)
The soul that sinneth it shall die... (Ezekiel 18:20)
3. We must be perfect to enter Heaven. The Bible says,
And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie... (Revelation 21:27)
For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee. (Psalm 5:4)
4. We can do nothing to obtain this perfection. The Bible says,
But to him that worketh not, but believeth on Him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. (Romans 4:5)
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8,9)
5. God loves us and provided a sin-bearer. The Bible says,
God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)
For He hath made Him (Christ) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. (2 Corinthians 5:21)
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all. (Isaiah 53:6)
6. We need only to TRUST in Jesus Christ ALONE as our personal Saviour for salvation. The Bible says,
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth (trusts) in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)
...Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved...(Acts 16:31)
7. We can be certain of our salvation. It cannot be lost because God keeps us...
Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. (1 Peter 1:5)
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise. (Ephesians 1:13)
...whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. (Ephesians 4:30)
All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. (John 6:36)
...and eternal life is ETERNAL, fovever given to us the moment we believe. The Bible says,
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may KNOW that ye have eternal life... (1 John 5:13)
